MrRadi8 Posted May 6, 2008 #1 Posted May 6, 2008 Who else cut the cassette for the amp? Where did you tap into the speaker wiring?
Freebird Posted May 6, 2008 #2 Posted May 6, 2008 I just unplugged the wires from the speakers, hooked them to the amp and then new wires to the speakers from the amp.
MAINEAC Posted May 7, 2008 #3 Posted May 7, 2008 What amp did you guys use? Inquiring minds want to know..
MrRadi8 Posted May 7, 2008 Author #4 Posted May 7, 2008 I just unplugged the wires from the speakers, hooked them to the amp and then new wires to the speakers from the amp. Something is odd with mine. If I have the amp off (un-powered) I only get sound from the left rear. If I turn the key to ACC (amp still off) I have sound from all four speakers. When the amp is on (key on) I get sound from all four. Maybe I was over expecting what the amp would do. It's not as punched/loud as I'd expected. And that other sequence is just weird. I'm wondering if the on-board amp is in the radio or a separate piece somewhere.
MrRadi8 Posted May 7, 2008 Author #5 Posted May 7, 2008 What amp did you guys use? Inquiring minds want to know.. The Pyramid in the 2nd Gen Tech section under radio stuff. Swapping the cassette for an amp.
