Squeeze Posted May 6, 2008 #2 Posted May 6, 2008 Well JT, what's about to say ?? 130 or something hp, newer ones with FI, very light, very Powerfull, 14 000 RpM, outstanding Brakes, normally riding superglue Tires, very fast and build for Twisties or Race Track. That pretty much sums the Basics up.
hipshot Posted May 6, 2008 Author #3 Posted May 6, 2008 many thanks, Lutz! i was hoping someone would throw some info, out, before i am forced to go outside and "admire it", in the daylight! lol just jt
eagleeye Posted May 6, 2008 #4 Posted May 6, 2008 "forced to go outside and "admire it" Are you kidding me? man you should go out and ride that thing, but hang on:080402gudl_prv: Steve
GigaWhiskey Posted May 6, 2008 #5 Posted May 6, 2008 Ask him if he stunts and what he can do. You can You Tube them to see some of the outrageous stuff they can do. Quite impressive actually. That would help spark a conversation between you two and make it sound like you are hip. NEway, you may not want to freak out at some of the stunting because some of it can get perty wild.
Squeeze Posted May 6, 2008 #6 Posted May 6, 2008 "forced to go outside and "admire it" Are you kidding me? man you should go out and ride that thing, but hang on:080402gudl_prv: Steve Steve, i totally agree. JT, you physically fit on that Bike and therefore i wouldn't miss doing a short round with it. You don't need to hang on, because Torque is relativ low on these 4-Inliners, but watch out what happens when you start winding it out at 9 000 RpM. The Tach will rise as fast as the Speedo. Quick shift it fast at low 11 000 RpM in first two Gears and that's where the Fun begins. Don't wetten the Seat at 13 000 in 3rd Gear.
Snarley Bill Posted May 7, 2008 #7 Posted May 7, 2008 tried to post here yesterday but it would'nt work. take that r6 for a ride. whole new experience. 0 to 60 in 3.3 sec., 107 rear wheel hp. 15500 red line. hang on when it hits 10,000 rpm, all hell breaks loose. not to many bikes will take it from stop light to stoplight. not even my zx14 or a busa. you and the bike become one real quick. it is an over confidence builder in the twisties. i loved mine. legs just would'nd handle the high foot peg location very long. if you can drag the pegs you are one heck of a rider, mostly when hanging off in a curve. the 08 is even better.added more lowend torque. bill ps did i mention top speed about 165 ,what a rush.
