cowpuc Posted August 8, 2019 #126 Posted August 8, 2019 Update as of 9:36 tonight....Bobs blood pressure was good today and the Dr.'s took him off his blood pressure medication. They also started to decrease his oxygen input and Bobby at this point is seeming to tolerate the lesser amount of oxygen. Keep up the prayers....baby step Prayers Up this morning Bongo! Hope your situation continues to improve my brother!!
BIG TOM Posted August 8, 2019 Author #127 Posted August 8, 2019 11:45 am....bad news...Frogger just talked to Beckie...... Bobby's not doing good at all, his organs are shutting down. Please say extra prayers today for our friend. So sad to hear.
Freebird Posted August 8, 2019 #128 Posted August 8, 2019 Didn't want to hear this but appreciate the update. Prayers said for all involved. Bob is a good man.
cecdoo Posted August 8, 2019 #130 Posted August 8, 2019 So very sorry to hear this, hopefully Bob can turn things around and start to recover. Both Bob and Becky are in our thoughts. Craig & Kim
saddlebum Posted August 8, 2019 #131 Posted August 8, 2019 Heart breaking news for sure. Bob is still a priority in my prayers.
snyper316 Posted August 8, 2019 #132 Posted August 8, 2019 O man, not what I wanted to read at all today. Prayers going out for Bob and his family.

Sylvester Posted August 8, 2019 #136 Posted August 8, 2019 :95::95::95: my prayers have never stopped for Bobby.
uncledj Posted August 8, 2019 #137 Posted August 8, 2019 He's been in my thoughts and prayers since I first heard that he was having trouble....was hoping to see him at WNY Rally...Keep in mind that when we send such well wishings, it's for ourselves as much as Bob...we don't want to see a good man leave us, nor do we want his family to be in pain. We should keep in mind that, if we have faith, that faith must accept that this may be part of Gods plan. Should Bob continue to suffer, it may be best that he's allowed to return to his true home. If we have faith, we should temper our pain of loss with the joy of knowing that this may be his time to return to the eternal love and joy that we all hope to someday achieve. Bob....if you're to leave us....Gods' speed...I'll look forward to seeing you on the other side. Still praying for recovery, but failing that, I'm sure he'll find peace.
Carbon_One Posted August 8, 2019 #139 Posted August 8, 2019 I've been watching this post since day 1 along with adding my prayers for Bob & family. As with everyone else it saddens me & Joyce greatly to know Bob is going thru this trying time. I'll cherish the many times I've shared good times and the road with Bob & Becky. Hopefully we'll see Bob recover but if that's not to be God's Plan then we'll meet again in the Lords house. Larry
Frogger Posted August 9, 2019 #140 Posted August 9, 2019 Update on Bob Sorry to say Bob passed away today at 2:32pm. As soon as we have service information we will post. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
leo3wheel Posted August 9, 2019 #141 Posted August 9, 2019 This news is heartbreaking! Bongo was a friend to everyone. His technical knowledge and dedication were a great asset to the club. Condolences to Becky and all those who knew and loved him. RIP Bongo!
Yama Mama Posted August 9, 2019 #142 Posted August 9, 2019 (edited) Ron and I have known Bob for many years. Our condolences to Becky and family. I feel so bad about losing another brother. I used to chat with Bob in the VR chat room. We would always have a lot of fun together. First we lose Yammer Dan and now Bob. I hope they are in heaven riding around together. God Bless your Bob. Marcarl Posted August 9, 2019 #143 Posted August 9, 2019 Bob will be missed for sure. I'm glad for him that he has finally come to meet his Saviour, may we all long for that day that at the end of this life we may continue in perfection. As it is, we have to carry on here, and although we will miss him, Becky will be the one hardest hit. Lets continue to hold her in our thoughts and prayers, that the time she has here on this earth may prove to be a blessing for herself as well as for those she meets.
RDawson Posted August 9, 2019 #144 Posted August 9, 2019 In the little time I've known Bob he talked more than once of being born again and welcomed the day he was called home. He will be truly missed. Prayers up for the journey home and for Becky also.
BIG TOM Posted August 9, 2019 Author #145 Posted August 9, 2019 Bobby will surely be missed. May he rest in peace. Bob was always there to help out anyone who needed it. I am blessed to have known him and to be able to call him a true friend. I will miss riding with him but am happy to have all these great memories of sharing so many adventures together. My condolences to Beckie and the rest of his family. May our Lord comfort her in her time of need.
saddlebum Posted August 9, 2019 #146 Posted August 9, 2019 (edited) Oh man I feared it but didn't want to have to hear it. Poor Becky I hope there is a lot of love around her right now. What everyone has said about Bob is an example of what more of the human race should be like. When my bike was run off the road in 2007 and I decided to buy it back from the insurance and rebuild it, Bob was on the phone in a heart beat asking what I needed in the way of parts and faster than the man of steel he and Becky magically showed up at my place of work here north of the border in Burlington Ontario, with a trunk load of parts and wanted not dime in return. I had only been with VR less than a year I believe and I did not know him nor him me and yet there he was in my time of need. On another occasion while returning from the Guntersville AL. international Rally, I decided to veer off my route home and pay Bobby and Becky a visit. Due to the fact that it was mid afternoon they insisted I stay for supper and then later as it started to cloud over insisted I stay the night which was followed by a great breakfast. It was a good thing to, as had I not stayed I would have got caught in one nasty lightning storm. Bobby has continue to be on my list of favorites from that time on. The only down side of knowing Bobby was the physical distance between us otherwise I know I would have enjoyed spending more time with him. My wife Marita was with me a couple of times to go visit Bob and Becky and she loved them both. We will both miss him a true friend and solid patriot very much. I know his new friends will love him just as much Edited August 9, 2019 by saddlebum
OrlinEngh Posted August 9, 2019 #147 Posted August 9, 2019 Sad news, He will be missed by many. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
The Tooch Posted August 9, 2019 #148 Posted August 9, 2019 Bob had on several occasions offered me assistance in acquiring parts for my Venture from the US to Canada without hesitation and for just the pure joy of helping out a fellow member. He and Becky had both once opened up their home to me, fed me meals and provided a warm dry comfortable place to spend a night. I was made to feel at home. He and Becky had become family and this has made my heart truly heavy. Thoughts and prayers to Becky. Bongo you will be missed!
cecdoo Posted August 9, 2019 #149 Posted August 9, 2019 RIP Bob, I am sure the other Venture riders that went before you, will be waiting for you with open arms. Hopefully Becky can find comfort in the memories of all your great adventures together. You surely will be missed. Craig & Kim
Bubber Posted August 9, 2019 #150 Posted August 9, 2019 I too have been watching this post over time and hoping for the best. So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My deepest condolences to Becky and family and friends. I had the pleasure of meeting Bob and Becky a few years back when they came out to Minnesota to the Pork in the Pines. Good people and fun to have them join us. We lost another brother and friend, may he rest in peace and join the others that have gone before him. We will miss you Bob. Ride long and hard till the end of time my friend. Bubber
