slowrollwv Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Well I will have more grass to mow after today. I settle on the 1 1/2 acer behind me today. that gives me 3 acers plus another 3 that I mow every two weeks.
Condor Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Time to get a bigger tractor/mower... Or a herd of goats...:whistling:
slowrollwv Posted July 3, 2019 Author Posted July 3, 2019 Time to get a bigger tractor/mower... Or a herd of goats...:whistling: Jack I don't need either. I have a 21 HP yard Machine and a 25 HP 60" Scag Super Z.
Condor Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Jack I don't need either. I have a 21 HP yard Machine and a 25 HP 60" Scag Super Z. Yeah, but the goats fertilize as they go.....
Sylvester Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I use an old Ford 2n tractor and four sixty inch Swisher trail behind mowers with independent engines. Twenty foot at a pass and I have a Toro 60" zero turn for the trimming. Works great until a belt breaks and then I just pull that mower out of series and continue with three. I have 7.5 acres but less than half is woodland, for my coyote hunting.
slowrollwv Posted July 4, 2019 Author Posted July 4, 2019 Yeah, but the goats fertilize as they go..... How true buuuuuut I don't have to feed them in the fool's :snow2: time of the tear.
slowrollwv Posted July 4, 2019 Author Posted July 4, 2019 Jim the few acers that I have now have too many trees scattered on it for a tractor unless it is 4 wheel drive with a finish mower.
Condor Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 How true buuuuuut I don't have to feed them in the fool's :snow2: time of the tear. They still make fertilizer in the barn.... Bag it and use it to jump start the garden in the spring... :-) One of nature's renewable resources... Doncha like playing 'Yes But...' LOL

I am like the cattle men of yester year I DON'T LIKE FENCES.
