Hey everyone, does anyone have a working CLASS controller for an 86 venture royale they would be willing to sell. ? I have the E1 error, attempts to check solder joints produced no change/ still only get the error message.

came up with this list:

 

"E1" error may encompass a broad range of defects.

 

• Faulty connections.
  
• Faulty discharge valve (solenoid).
  
• Low pressure sensor input voltage. (Low battery or low voltage due to poor connectors)
  
• Faulty pressure sensor.
  
• And finally, incomplete solder repair at the nine pin board connector.

I have tried to resolder that connector a number of times, sometimes it just doesn't work to re-flow the solder, you actually have to desolder and then apply new solder. That might help ya.

Thanks, MY re solder seems to have worked.. Now to redo the front steering head bearings and put all of it back together !

THAT will probably make a nice difference. I replaced my races and bearings with All Ballz racing parts, very pleased. If your lucky you can clean/grease/adjust. Theres a great video on youbute about Venture steering bearing adjustment, it dates back to the 80s and you will know it when you see it, the 80s cop mustache and porn quality dub give it away, but it's a super helpful video on where the adjustment should land.

 

Glad the re solder worked! It's nice to have that functioning.

Thanks Casey.. Lower bearing is now reinstalled, let the fun begin! The top bearing was quite notchy, so there should be a big improvement.. doing the front wheel bearings as well while it is apart.
