Disirement for muffler

Carl, I have 2 very nice 2nd gen mufflers sitting in my shop. Thought I would use on my 1st gen trike, but decided not to. Make me an offer with shipping included.

 

Looking for a OEM Venture muffler. I changed the exhaust on my Spyder, upgraded the exhaust pipes and now am looking for something quieter than the aftermarket sound makers I have now, they are HD OEM but soembody bashed the baffles in them. Wanta do this to see how it works out. Got to be 2nd gen though.

Ahhhh Lewis,, thanks for the offer, I sure to appreciate it and would think it would make a wonderful trip to come pickup such a good deal, but I'm not sure just exactly where Georgia might be, so to make the transfer, here is what I offer:

 

You pay the shipping, sending an extra $50 just in case there are duties or taxes or some other such levies that the Gov Officials might conjure up to make the transfer cause a deep hole in my pocket.

You also need to transfer the said items free of any charge for the price of purchase.

 

Reasons why:

If I were to take you up on your offer, then @GaryN might get just a bit ticked off, seeing as he would still then have to keep his in storage and they would be in his way. Also I would not have the golden opportunity to visit with Gary and his wonderful wife Mary,,, I haven't seen them for quite some time. As well as the aforementioned Ben, @saddlebum would be all bummed out, seeing as he also wanted to tag along for the visit and ride, don't know why he didn't just go on his own, but it may have something to do with being directionally challenged, or needing more instruction on proper hugging procedures.

 

As I said before, your offer is wonderful, but maybe a bit more than you really had planned on investing into this venture.

Hey Don,,, we were going to go this week, but not now anymore. Things have changed a bit since this morning and we no longer need to go,,,, seeing as the pipes are here at home, nice and cuddled away,,, they had their first ever Spyder ride today, and got well indoctrinated. Twisty and turnies, fast and slow, rain and dry,, yep a full fledged experience for them. They must have enjoyed it, because after the first shock of real riding and trying to get off, they stayed perfected put for the rest of the way to Burlington and then back to their new home.

Well I suppose that there maybe somebody who would like to know how this all turned out.

The mufflers, yep! not one but two, made it home just fine, and now one of them noise reducers are mounted and tasked to the job. Looks not too bad actually, even kind of pretty somewhat.

Now about the sound,,,,, it's good, really nice and good! It's not sparkie, not obnoxious, not quiet or loud, doesn't rumble and is not intense, just has a low sound of a perfectly tuned engine, mounted by a happy rider.
