Speedo question

I have an 05 RSTD the fuel gauge and clock works but the speedo trip and odo doesnt move. Any thoughts

I would take a look at the speed sensor located on the final drive first and trace the wiring back from there. There is a connection under the seat or the left hand side cover that may be disconnected. Down load the service manual from the Tech Library and check page 7-78 for a pic of the speed sensor. The speedo works on electrical impulses, could be a loose connection or broken wire.
