crossbowme Posted May 26, 2019 #2 Posted May 26, 2019 Yes and no. The windscreen in the top position causes the wind to hit the top of my helmet causing buffeting. I lower it and then i have to close my faceshield because of bugs. I've checked around and haven't found any quality windscreens aftermarket yet.
sldunker Posted May 26, 2019 #3 Posted May 26, 2019 On my Star Venture if I have the shield all the way down I get alot of wind plus a whistling noise. Raising it up alittle seems to take care of it.
Condor Posted May 26, 2019 #4 Posted May 26, 2019 Is it your wind shield or your helmet that is not sealing well??
GreenMtnHunter Posted June 29, 2019 #5 Posted June 29, 2019 Were you able to chase this down? On my first ride, I felt like it was coming from the top of the windshield OR...from the gap in the front of the nice, chrome cover between the windshield and the top of the fairing.... I need to ride more to figure it out...we were focusing on the road and figuring out the intercom functions.... Rich SVTC
Freebird Posted June 29, 2019 #6 Posted June 29, 2019 A number of people have reported that it's air coming under the chrome strip. Take it off, put some weather stripping in there, and it's supposedly taken care of. I haven't tried it yet so can't verify.

I have a roll of weather stripping... I'll try it tomorrow and let you know if I am able to get out for a ride.
