Cassette replacement

Cassette player went bad looking to replace w just an amfm radio anyone seen this done on a 2000 venture MM

Oh, radio not working on handlebar either, cold on line want fortune for radio replacement, so that's a no go

Any ideas anyone.

Have you looked at both fuses for the radio?

@jarheadRVN68, In case you may not be aware....

 

When my radio no longer worked on the RSV handle bar controller. It was from cold. I took the front fairing off and took the connectors apart and cleaned them well. Put all back together. Now works just fine. Why the cold? Don't know.

If both your cassette deck and radio don't work and quit together, I'd look into a fuse or broken connection also in the front fairing area. Or at the fuses in their locations. I think some of the circuits are shared so an accessory fuse may be blown and somehow the radio is tied into it. Regardless, look at ALL the fuses just in case.
