ReCycled Posted March 26, 2019 #1 Posted March 26, 2019 New guy with what will likely sound like a weird question... I have an '05 RSV with pillowtop seat. I want to sit further up and rearward, any suggestions? The bike that has the best ergos for me is an HD Electraglide Police special. Has anyone ever fitted an air ride Harley Police saddle?
cecdoo Posted March 27, 2019 #2 Posted March 27, 2019 You could put leveling links on rear suspension, fairly easy to do, will help with low speed handling and will raise you up about an 1" or more. Then contact Rick Butler on the forum and tell him what you want in the seat. He will modify your pillow top and get it back to you quickly. He is a great guy to work with and would be a great place to start. If he cant help, then you mite look into harley seat. Friend and neighbor rite up the street had the Police Special with the seat you are talking about. Good Luck with whatever you decide. Craig
Condor Posted March 27, 2019 #3 Posted March 27, 2019 On long rides the pillow top almost crippled me for much the same reason you mentioned... Too far forward and too low... I finally went with a Corbin. It was harder..but higher, and let me sit rearward a bit more...
ReCycled Posted March 28, 2019 Author #4 Posted March 28, 2019 Turns out I have a buddy with an extra cop seat so I'll give that a go first. If that doesn't work so well I'll have the pillow top reshaped.
