RandyR Posted March 21, 2019 #1 Posted March 21, 2019 I pray for his family. The news report says a car driver made a left turn and didn't see the MC because he was doing a wheelie and his light was pointed up and not visible. https://www.foxnews.com/auto/florida-motorcyclist-killed-after-popping-a-wheelie
Chaharly Posted March 22, 2019 #2 Posted March 22, 2019 Thats a shame. I love pulling up the front wheel, and I try to remember to do it in a safe place, but any place can become unsafe REAL quick. Stay safe out there guys!
djh3 Posted March 22, 2019 #3 Posted March 22, 2019 Well ya know......... I dont have no sympathy for the rider. Sorry that kind of stupid stuff should be done in a closed of parking lot or something. But I do feel sorry for his family. Also dumb stuff like this make the rest of us look like idots, even if we dont do stunts like this. Folks just see a bike and think, "there's one of them death wish people"
BratmanXj Posted March 22, 2019 #4 Posted March 22, 2019 As a rider I'm sure everyone here make the extra effort to be aware of other vehicles on the road. With that, I've almost done the same thing and pulled out in front of a motorcycle who was stunting at night on a public street. Luck for him I had just opened the window of the car and heard something and stopped before I pulled out of the driveway onto the street. Between the street lights and his headlight aiming up you couldn't tell there was a vehicle coming down the street.
SpencerPJ Posted March 22, 2019 #5 Posted March 22, 2019 I agree, and we all have done stupid stuff, and lived to tell about it. Best wishes for his family. Remember for many of us, Riding season is right around the corner and the cages are not used to seeing us out and about. Be extra careful around them, and let it rip in the country, I mean safe riding. Be careful while you get back into the groove of things.
