Rasa Posted March 6, 2019 #1 Posted March 6, 2019 I have a 6x20 enclosed trailer with a wheel chock. Where is the best place to attach straps on the front of a 2108 SVTC? Thanks.
RonK Posted March 7, 2019 #2 Posted March 7, 2019 -- I have not hauled mine yet, but with my full chock, I intend to haul my Eluder by tie straps going to the lower forks between them and the wheel, just above the axle, looped around the fork, and back out such that they are pulling a little to the side but mostly forward and backward on each side. I have E-tracks, so it's easy to use them to hook on to. Then the back will be secured, on my bike, with a tie from one side, around the sissy bar, then down to the other side rail. This prevents any side to side motion or tip over movement. --
sldunker Posted March 7, 2019 #3 Posted March 7, 2019 Towed mine from MN to AZ about 3400 miles. Strapped front wheel to chock. Ran extra straps from forks just above where fender bolts on to etrack. These had very little tension. On the rear I went around frame by passenger foot boards to etrack. These I keep quite a bit of tension on. I would then check the rear straps at gas stops
