Son Stuart Won His Second Grammy Last Night!

Last night when the Grammy Awards were announced, Beyonce and JayZ's album Everything Is Love was awarded a Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Album. That meant that my son Stuart also won a Grammy for recording/mixing the majority of the album! This is his second Grammy Award and I think the 4th time he has been nominated for his work!

Way cool, he must know his stuff to be picked to handle their albums.... man I am showing my age? Congrats and I am sure it will only lead to more great things for him.

They used lots of people to help on the album including many recording engineers/mixers. But, my son worked on most of the album. You have to work on more than half of the album to get a grammy if the album wins one. He has been working for Beyonce for 6 or 7 years now. The others were brought in for some of the songs. If you look at the album credits, the list is long for writers, producers, and recording engineers/mixers. i think it will be like her album "Lemonade where many people got credits but he was the only person who worked on the majority of the songs and the only one who got a grammy besides the singer.
