Guest BluesLover Posted May 3, 2008 #1 Posted May 3, 2008 Isn't this a neat way to get around town? No more traffic jams! http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b320/BluesLover55/?action=view¤t=FlyingMotorcycle.flv Cheers,
Marcarl Posted May 11, 2008 #2 Posted May 11, 2008 Think I'll get me one of those. Traffic here is horendous sometimes, maybe even 3 cars a day going by. Hey Lou, want to make a loan??
Sleeperhawk Posted May 11, 2008 #3 Posted May 11, 2008 We are getting one, oh yeah let the air wheelies begin.
Guest BluesLover Posted May 11, 2008 #4 Posted May 11, 2008 Hey Lou, want to make a loan??Carl - you gotta watch out for that Portuguese Mafia you know ... our loansharks are likely to beat you down with some codfish and all ... Cheers,
Blackjack Posted May 11, 2008 #5 Posted May 11, 2008 Now that would be doubly satisfying: I get to ride a bike and I get to fly! I'll be interested to see what the market is like on those about three years after they come out. If I start saving now I should be able to handle getting a used one by then... Terry
Guest Swifty Posted July 1, 2008 #7 Posted July 1, 2008 practically, its unrealistic given today's airspace rules. Where you have the most need for a vehicle like that is where you have traffic jams. Where you have traffic jams you have big cities. Big cities have international airports. Those airports demand very strict rules for transiting aircraft and practically no airspace for a "fly-drive" vehicle like that...and you can totally forget about using the interstate as a takeoff runway as you approach the traffic jam. Sorry to be the party pooper on this idea. In other news, the Oshkosh crowd really likes this design... http://www.rotorflightdynamicsinc.com/index.html
86er Posted July 4, 2008 #8 Posted July 4, 2008 I saw the SkyCycle at the '06 Sun-N-Fun in Florida. It's pretty cool, but it looked like it would be a little scary @ 70mph on the ground! In the air it would be great though!
Yammer Dan Posted July 4, 2008 #9 Posted July 4, 2008 And I was only planning a 4 ft door in my new building!!!
