dueyk1111 Posted February 3, 2019 #1 Posted February 3, 2019 is the correct valve clearance 0.11-0.15 mm (0.004-0.006 in) intake. And 0.16- 0.20 mm (0.006-0.008 in) exhaust. have checked all the write ups on it and nobody seems to mention what the correct gap is supposed to be. what i found was in the manual (96-03 manual)i have a 2006. my valve covers are leak'n, so before i put in the new valve cover gaskets, i'm gonna check n adjust the valves.
Freebird Posted February 3, 2019 #2 Posted February 3, 2019 Those are correct. The valves tighten as things wear so most people will adjust to the upper end of that range.

Also their are some members on this site that will loan you the tool to remove the shims.
