My farm raised mother taught us to use Vaseline for the same repair. I still use it and it is easy to get down into the teeth by rubbing. No flames necessary.

Suggesting a blow dryer and not a blow torch to melt the chap stick.

Thanks for the tip. When my brand new joe rocket 4.1 and my brand new tourmaster advanced jackets get sticky zippers in a few years I’ll be sure to pull out the chap stick.

Most of the time the simple fixes are the best !

You are correct about one thing though my sweet brother,,, old guys DEFINITELY RULE!! !! Unless of course the love of his life is sitting next to him reading everything he writes, in that case the old guys dominion becomes questionable at best:crackup:
