baylensman Posted January 24, 2019 #1 Posted January 24, 2019 Well the old Mark VIII was getting a little hard to get in and out of on rainy days. I got a new to me 2008 MKX everyone thats seen it including my mechanic thought it was a new one! So I can ride in style for a few more years. Now if i can just come up with a plausible excuse for needing a new bike........
BlueSky Posted January 24, 2019 #2 Posted January 24, 2019 I drove a Mark VIII for 7 years and I loved that car. It had its faults and quirks, but overall it was a car I enjoyed driving every time I got in it. Good Luck with the "new" one!
CaseyJ955 Posted January 24, 2019 #3 Posted January 24, 2019 I have always liked the MK 8, I would have purchased a new one but I wasn't happy with the trade value of my my well preserved 72 Town Car at the time. I figure if I ever come across one and the price is right I'll still jump on it. You'll have to post pics of your new Lincoln and let us know how you like it. Congrats!
baylensman Posted February 6, 2019 Author #4 Posted February 6, 2019 Well two weeks in I love the car. Also haven't ridden the bike in the same time frame. rain or dense fog or very cold most of the time. I've noticed that my knees don't ache anymore at night. I'm still going to the gym still sitting at a desk the only big thing is not riding the bike at all. prior to this rode the bike almost every day except when weather was crap. I have to try the bike again (good wether rest of the week) and see if the ache comes back! If so I guess the RSV is going bye bye.
gmarshall Posted February 6, 2019 #5 Posted February 6, 2019 Have you tried adding highway pegs? They may ease your knee pain by allowing youth stretch out more when riding. I've put pegs on all of the bikes I've owned. G
