Chaharly Posted January 8, 2019 #1 Posted January 8, 2019 Hey guys, I used the link about a month ago and it worked fine but i jumped on today and It wouldnt' load. Anyone have another way to get my hands on a manual?
cimmer Posted January 8, 2019 #3 Posted January 8, 2019 That page was setup by a previous member who copied the text and posted it there for us. It appears that the website is no more, so maybe he has stopped using that webpage service. I am not sure if it is something we can post here on the forum or if it is too big to do that. The first gen 86-93 service manual is 22.3 Meg in size. We will have to check with admins and see if it is possible to post here. Rick F.
Bob K. Posted January 8, 2019 #4 Posted January 8, 2019 (edited) Here you go. 1983-1985 Yamaha Venture Service Manual https://1drv.ms/b/s!Av4sLhrHRtHyhRAwg7aKcuZYJONI 1986-1993 Yamaha Venture Service Manual https://1drv.ms/b/s!Av4sLhrHRtHyhQ7wR4kO2vGpdTcE If you have other things (like the 2nd Gen manuals) that you'd like to upload, send me a PM and I'll see how we can get it uploaded to my OneDrive. BlueSky Posted January 8, 2019 #5 Posted January 8, 2019 Quite a while ago, I bought a CD off ebay for about $12 that has the 1st Gen, 2nd Gen and many, many other Yamaha models manuals on it. So, look on ebay occasionally would be my suggestion.
zagger Posted January 8, 2019 #6 Posted January 8, 2019 (edited) Hey guys, I used the link about a month ago and it worked fine but i jumped on today and It wouldnt' load. Anyone have another way to get my hands on a manual? What years are you calling "first gen"? I've got a copy of the 1983... 1200cc service manual as a pdf (nearly 40MB) but I'm not sure how to send such a large file to anyone. Would be happy to help if needed. zag PS Here is a link which gives the full 1st gen service manual. https://www.bergall.org/temp/venture/pdf/1983-1985-yamaha-venture-manual-complete-with-wiring-diagrams.pdf Personally, I would find a source for a printed version which is much more useful when you actually do something on the bike. A printed one gives you the ability to scribble in your own notes and have it available in your shop. Edited January 8, 2019 by zagger
Bob K. Posted January 8, 2019 #7 Posted January 8, 2019 I'll put that on my OneDrive if you'll permit, Zagger.
zagger Posted January 8, 2019 #8 Posted January 8, 2019 I'll put that on my OneDrive if you'll permit, Zagger. You go for it! It's not mine. Anyway, I would suggest that paying a few bucks to get a full printed manual is well worth it. Mine is kinda falling apart but I've used it so much that I really have no complaints. zag

Freebird Posted January 8, 2019 #10 Posted January 8, 2019 I have all the manuals saved. I will get them uploaded and posted again within a day or two. It's been a long day, won't get to it tonight.
