Mad Dog Posted January 5, 2019 #1 Posted January 5, 2019 It's time to rebuild the tree, I'm getting a clunk when stopping. I can feel it getting sloppy. Is there a kit to buy that has all the bearings etc for the triple tree, or do I need to get everything separately? Anything else I should know? TIA Mike
luvmy40 Posted January 5, 2019 #2 Posted January 5, 2019 All Balls probably has a bearing kit. Even if they don't, I'd recommend their parts. ETA: Her ya' go! https://www.allballsracing.com/22-1004.html
MiCarl Posted January 5, 2019 #3 Posted January 5, 2019 As I recall, getting the lower race out of a RSV is really difficult. They left little to nothing exposed to drive it out with. There are a couple routes you can take. You can grind away a spot on the race with a die grinder so it becomes loose. You can also lay a healthy bead of weld in the race. There is a good chance when the weld cools the race will just fall out. If not the bead gives you something to tackle with a punch.
BratmanXj Posted January 6, 2019 #4 Posted January 6, 2019 You can grind away a spot on the race with a die grinder so it becomes loose. I went this route with a dremel tool, notch the lower race slowly until you can "crack" it with a punch. I was trying not to grind into the machined head.

Be grateful your not doing a gen1 haha.
