What happened to the 22nd???? :think: :whistling: Why have the get-together if it doesn't include the 22nd? I'm having real troubles trying to understand this.

I've put a place holder in the calendar for the 2019 Ontario rally. July 18th to 21st. Location to be finalized

 

 

Unbelievable Don. 3 years running, and I will miss this event again. We will be in Ireland during that time. I wish great weather and know the company will be great.

Have fun everyone that attends, and those thinking about it should definitely make the decision to go.

Something special about July 22nd ? Someone's birthday?

There is a movie called "22 July" about an attack in Norway...

Other than that.....what is so significant about July 22nd ? 7/22/2019.....adds up 2048....

I will pencil that weekend on my calendar, is this the one that is usually staged in Minden? Or maybe I have them mixed up, will await further details.

Yes it is although last summer it was in Niagara.

If you throw the party.....I'm sure someone will come. Anyone? That's why I suggested that the party is at your house on the Monday....following the rally.

This will be the fourth annual Ontario VentureRiders rally. First two years were in Minden, Ontario and last year in Niagara Falls. This year, we are returning to Minden. Great roads for riding, very friendly proprietor at the motel/campground (Ray), and of course, amazing hosts in Marca and I.....and Carl.

 

We will be based out of Ray's Place (formerly Southwind Motel and Campground).

- there is a pool and volleyball court, and a good food trailer (had really good fish 'n chips)

- Ray’s Place Rates : (this is in CDN $.... so much less for the U.S. members when you consider U.S. to CDN exchange rate)

Room with 1 queen $80

Room with 2 queens and kitchenette $96

RV is $96

Room with 1 queen and kitchen $84

For camping suggest you ask for the upper field area)

No services is $30

15 amp site with water is $35

30 amp site with water is $40

2 bedroom cottage with 4 beds $159

These are daily rates and are plus HST, 13 percent.

Member check-in on the Thursday although Carl and I will arrive on Wednesday July 17th so feel free to arrive early. We'll plan local rides for the Friday and Saturday with a group breakfast on the Sunday.

Provided there are no fire bans, we'll have a camp fire in the evenings.

 

One other thing....for those that want to celebrate Carl's birthday on Monday July 22nd... you might want to stay an extra day.

We had a total of 10 people signed up for it (with Carl and I accounting for 4 of those 10).

With multiple "bumps", there hasn't been enough interest/sign-ups for it this year. I expressed my concerns to Carl and agreed to cancel it.

well that makes for a sad State of Affairs but I guess if you can't get the numbers then there's not much else you can do.
