(reminders) : 1) brake pads 2) date last changed fluids - brake, clutch, coolant 3) upper part of CB antenna - found out yesterday the set-screw on mine needs to be tightened 4) shifter bolt 5) 2nd Gen - windshield bolts 6) tire condition (screws, nails, cracking, mfr date) 7) battery state 8) spark plugs 9) saddle bag bolts 10) check air filters (K&N - condition) 11) oil/filter due? 12) rear gear oil due? . . . Other additions ?
bongobobny Posted December 13, 2018 #2 Posted December 13, 2018 Before you tighten that set screw on the CB, put an SWR meter on it and tune the antenna length for the best transmitting performance...
RDawson Posted December 13, 2018 #4 Posted December 13, 2018 I plan to do all that with a valve shimming, steering head bearings, swing arm bearings, and wheel bearings. Getting ready to order parts from Skydoc now. Don't forget carb synch. Will probably look at fuel pump points while I'm at it.
