Full Synthetic Quaker at Menards for $2.99 a Quart!!

I have learned a few things since having to switch over to being a cager for our camping excurtions and purchasing Trooper, our new Ioniq. Yes he does fairly easily get into the 60 MPG range and WOWZY, talk about cozy for camping. One of the downfalls I have noticed though is the days of cheap, Dollar Store 20/50 oil usage are gone. I always changed my oil on Tweeks when it got dirty or shifting got notchy (usually well before 3500 miles) and always appreciated the ease of finding cheap stuff to run thru her.

Trooper is a totally different kind of creature though,, a little more uppity I would say.. His 10 year warranty requires a diet of high priced Full Synthetic 0-20 with a strong suggestion to stay with Quacker State, that, IMHO, is one of the draw backs of dropping the cash on one of these new fangdangled things. After finding that out and picking myself up off the floor when our dealership told us that a oil change was 60 bucks, I started watching for a cheap source. I found it at MENARDS!! I have been picking off my first 18 quart batch that I grabbed way back before we headed out for our first month on the road with Trooper. Now I notice that Menards is once again, today only, redoing the sale = 3 bucks a quart after rebate (we LOVE rebating at Menards - we are "Rebate Date" people me Tip, a couple of true one offs I reckon!! Thought I better pass on the savings before heading out to grab Troops next batch of Texas Tea!!

By the way,, Gas is at $2.10 here!! Life is good!!

You write so well!!! I can taste the expensive stuff the Ioniq likes.

You have to imagine the hilariousness manner I am thinking (I am winter shut in) in that one buys a used $1000 motorcycle... runs the cheapest swill obtainable through it...probably changing oil once a month... replaces tires on it countless times costing more than the purchase price of the motorcycle itself... and rides it a couple hundred thousand miles like this. WORRY FREE!!! We can learn a lot from you Puc!

Thank You!

I'm a fan of Mobil.1 for my wife's Camry. Only needs changed every 10k miles, although I do it at 9k. Meijers sells 5 gal 0-20 jug for $23. Go on Amazon and buy a case of filters, much cheaper in bulk.

Me too, I just wish they would get with the times and let you type a receipt code and do it online.

Yes, Yukon XL loves it as well.

It would be hard to get a fair trial, The man that puts on the MD at his place in Oberlin, owns a 3rd Gen. :rotf:

Puc in 2020, he's too honest of a man, we'll never get someone like that representing 'we the people'

Judge: I see from reading the charges levied against you and clearly stated in the Prosecuters post found on Starmotorcycles that - and I quote - "This is the same individual who complained about pricing of the SVTC. If you’ve seen the condition of his 1st Gen then the issue of “affordability” comes into clear focus". Do you offer the Court/Jury any explanation for said charges of not being able to afford a new motorcycle?

Puc: Well your holy and most high Honor, it's like this. I am part of a bike club that is full of 1/2 percenters, a tougher bunch of lop eared rotten egg varmints the court has never met. Being more of a lover than the fighting sort, I knew when I joined said Club that I would have to find a way to stay out of trouble. I found out that most of those varmints had an insatiable appetite for Hot Dogs. Being sort of a clever character myself, I formulated a plan of action where I would have an occasional biker Hot Dog party. Things got wayyy out of hand and, before long,, Tippy (the lady over there who is refusing to testify against me) - Tweeks (the motorcycle mentioned in the Prosecuters report in question) and I found ourselves carrying packages of Hot Dogs all over the State of Michigan just to keep said varmints satisfied. To date, I have a little over $171,000 invested in Hot Dogs/buns/chips/pops and, of course, Party Beads (what fun is a biker Hot Dog Party with no Party Beads,,,, Sir?) so,, I guess you could say, my quest for keeping the peace and enjoying life with my buddies was more important to me than riding a new bike.

Judge: Puc,,, the court would like to know what that streak of Red spotted with little pieces of green things would be in your beard?

Puc,, with a funny look on his face: That would be left over condiments from the Hot Dogs I had for lunch:8:. Your holy Honor is quite a perceptive lop ea,,,,, Judge,,, Your Most High Robed Varmint Honor :scratchchin:!!

Judge:

Noting the circumstances presented before the court today, it is clear that the lop eared varmints within the Motorcycle Club in question are not alone in their love for the 1/4 pound hot dogs in question and that the defendents reason for not being able to afford the price of a new bike is here by considered nonsense. It is therefore a decision of this court that the defendent shall herefore and herewith be forever condemed to a lifetime of pursueing life from the seat of a beat up old sticker covered 83 Venture named Tweeks and shall continue to provide the lop eared rotten egg 1/2 percenter varmints in said M.C. with Hot Dogs lest things get real ugly and those varmints look to a normal and peaceful society for their Hot Dog slaying adventures..

Case Closed:biker:

I WOULD LIKE TO ENTER A PLEA OF INSANITY I'M CRAZY :nanner:ABOUT PUCK'S HOT DOGS I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH A BUNCH OF HOT DOG EATING MISFITS YOU'LL NEVER FIND A JURY IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN TO CON.VICT HE WILL BUY THEM OFF WITH HOT DOGS EVERY TIME WE NEED A CHANGE OF VENUE :parrots:

Yea the newer stuff takes this oil. 0-20 not uncommon. But the intervals are pretty long. If ya get board Puc look up some engine spec's like rod and main bearing clearances on your new ride, then compare them to say a 72 350 chevy or something.

WELL MAYBE WE COULD HAVE COW POC'S TRIAL IN TEXAS SINCE IT'S NOT A CAPITAL OFFENSE TO PUT STICKERS ON A MOTORCYCLE OR TO NAME IT TWEAKS .THEY DON'T NEED SNOW THROWERS ON THEIR JOHN DEERE TRACTORS AND COWPUC COULD BARBECUE SOME HOT DOGS IN THE SUN JUST THINK NO SNOW AND SUNSHINE.:parrots: :fingers-crossed-emo
