Well, I finally did it. With some regrets I've sold my 2000 RSV MM edition to a very nice guy (Erich Richey) from Illinois. He arrived last night via airplane, picked him up at the airport, he spent the night with us and he is leaving this morning for a 1048 mile trek to it's new home.

I think he is going to get wet because the forecast does not look good for this evening and tomorrow especially in the midwest.

He got a very good deal considering the bike is in like showroom condition except for a little dust on it, it has a lot of bells and whistles that a new one doesn't.

Let's all wish him a safe journey home and good luck with his new ride.

Well, Im glad you were able to sell it, and Im sure your sad to see it go but things happen for a reason I guess.

So did you tell him about the site and do we get to look forward to having another family member soon?

Ah come on, you could have dusted it for him. As for the rest: Diddo what Eck said and don't you go leaving us now, you'll miss being here and not be the same person.

Roy,

You have been on here long enough to know that it's not about what ride you have, just that you do. It's a good feeling when you do have to sell something and know that the fella getting it is really looking forward to it. Please stick around, I know you dont post often but that doesn't make you any less of a member than anyone else. Take care of yourself and hope we get to meet up with you in the future :happy34:

You know that Brad is right, Roy. You can't leave!

Heck, we even let him hang around when he didn't have anything to ride! (Of course that was 'cause we didn't want to lose Lonna! :rotfl:)

If I ever have to give up two wheels, Y'all won't be able to get rid of me!

This place should be nicknamed The Hotel California. You can check out but you can never leave. :no-no-no: You will always be a part of the group no matter if you ride or not.:thumbsup2:

I heard from Erich late yesterday afternoon, he made it as far as Senatobia, Mississippi where the weather forced him to stop for the evening. He said there were tornados all around but he made it to a Motel 6 without getting wet. I know it wasn't Hotel California but it was a dry place, he also said they let him put the bike under the drive thru in the front of the motel. He said the bike performed flawlessly as I knew it would. He also mentioned it was different from his V-Star 1100 quiet a bit more top heavy. I warned him that until he became use to it that he would have to be careful. I think he'll manage just fine. I took some photos of him and the bike before he left. I'll post them later this evening when I have time to download them from my camera. Later....
