Just wondering if anybody is planning on going to MB Bike week? The wife and I are heading down on Monday the 12th and coming back on the 18th. If anybody wants to get together for a impromptu meet and eat or anything else, (Get your mind out of the gutter Beer30:rotf:) we are always open for suggestions. I will have my cell with me and the number is in the Members section.

Last year we went down for the first 4 days and although we had fun, we were disappointed in the fact that the majority of vendors and big builders didn't show up until Monday night and were opening shop on Tuesday. Yamaha set up and had some really nice bikes for test rides, but we didn't get a chance because we left early on Tuesday. Not this year, we decided to take a week on the backside of the event to see how things shake out.

I will be there for the day on the 12th, waiting to see if Sleeperhawk will be tagging along. Would enjoy having an impromptu M&E with you there Salty. Name the Restaurant and I'll be there.:happy34:

Hi Nathan,

I will be in town all week (conveniently I live here!), and would be glad to do breakfast with you on Saturday morning. Where are you staying...and how do you feel about GREAT pancakes?

POLEDAR:)

We are staying at the Polynesian on 10th & S. Ocean BLVD. We are traveling down with a couple of friends that I usually ride with here at home. I am not a big pancake fan, but my wife loves pancakes so I guess that is what really matters (all I really need is coffee):97:.

I thought they renamed it MB trailer week.

:rotf:Thats why I RIDE my Star down there, to show the Hardly riders how your supposed to go to a bike rally.:D

I will be pulling a trailer with my RSV, but that's so I can haul all the "CRAP" my wife is going to blow my money on back home.:rotf::rotf::rotf:

It was pretty funny, the first time I went to MBBW and got 10 miles outside of town only to see folks off loading their HD's and Choppers in order to "RIDE THEM INTO TOWN" like they rode all the way there. POSERS!!!

I told my wife about seeing at least 12 HD's broke down on the side of the road the first time I went and she didn't believe me. Last year she rode her shadow down and got to see first hand how many are sittin by the wayside with somebody turning a wrench on them.

Saw an add in a MC rag that made me laugh. In it a HD shops advertisement had for it's slogan now get this "We have everything you need for your roadside attraction." I kid you not, even they admit these things break down. LOL :rotf::rotf: But they still have to look good on the side of the road.

I'm gonna be taking vacation for the wk. 5-7 through 5-19 (11 days),so I can enjoy bike wk. I live in loris,15 miles from poldar. I'm thinking about having a cookout at the house and havin yall over for some burgers and dogs. Either a lunch or a dinner, what ever is best for most. I will be goin to ashville Nc. for three days on the bike with the wife and won't be back till mon.night the 12th. So any time between say the 14th and the 19th is cool. I' ve got plenty of parking. (double wide concrete driveway and garage). I figure I'll cook the burgers and the dogs and just buy the rest of the crap at wally world,IE: chips, mac and potato salad etc... my contact # is 843-503-8269 or put it on the site.Or just e-mail me. Dave 38x, hope you can make it after the 12th,bring your buds too. Same with you rooster, I know you'll be down there after the 12th. What about you Rider Duke, mechanic, and beer 30?. maybe we can all meet for breakfast somewhere, do the vendor thing after that for a few hrs,(inlett square mall will be the biggest bulk of the vendors in murrells inlet) then do a nice ride endin up at the house for dinner about 4:30-6:00 ????? We can all make at least one day of it.:confused24::cool10:

Did I see something about a cook out? Looks like I might have to make a second trip to MB.:whistling: Ain't no way I would bring all my buds with me, they eat too much.:no-no-no::rotfl: Well, I will have to see when you plan on having a get together, then see if I can play sick, no I meant ask politely for a second day off that week.:hihi: Hope I can work it out, looks like we might be able to call it a meet and eat.

Dave38 we plan on getting to MB between 1 and 2 pm providing we don't run into any trouble along the way. More than likely we will head directly to Broadway on the Beach since I will be pulling a trailer and we can't check into our resort until after 4pm. That way we have plenty of parking and it doesn't hurt that my wife loves the place. Last year there were a lot of vendors there and some of the big MC dealers should be coming in on Monday also. There are some great places to eat there. We really like the Italian place on the Hwy 17 bypass side.

Captmidnight that sounds like a great offer. We don't have any concrete plans except for the 13th, we plan on going to the Hard Rock Park and then staying for the evenings concert. Hopefully a bunch of folks will be able to get together.

Just to let everybody know the HD Dealers association has moved their events from the Civic Center to the parking lot of the Hard Rock Park, from what I hear there should be a lot of vendors there also. I have read it PO'ed MB Chamber a lot, so everybody just be on the look out for angry LEO's. Not that the LEO's are bad, but you know how that stuff roles down hill. Every time I have been down there they have been more than wonderful, but I wouldn't crack the throttle too much if you have after market exhaust on your scoot.

Cap'n,

I'll be around as far as I know. I do live here after all. My niece is going to be in town with her hubby & their 3 yr old ; they'll be at my other niece's place here in the area . She's got one

Saltydawg...Don't sweat the local bears. The move to Hard Rock will actually simplify some of their job. The Harleys guys were likely lobbied big time by Hard Rock to move their event over there from the Convention Center. If anybody has their britches in a bunch, it's the Convention Center mgt (IE- the city). They lost a wad over that one. The cops got other things to fill their time with than worrying about that.

I would agree, but I know what town politics can be like and the CoC has the ability to put pressure on the PD if they were so inclined to do it. Not saying that will happen, but just wanted folks to be on the look out. You know how rowdy this bunch can be.:rotf::rotf:
