Air Ready Auto Posted July 27, 2018 #1 Posted July 27, 2018 My family and I are off for 2 weeks to Mexico. We will be staying with my wife's family. Due to return late on August 9th. A huge thank you to @Flyinfool for letting us park our car in his driveway while we are gone and for dropping us off/picking us up from the airport. I dont know if we have a help-a-brother out award but he deserves one. Please say a prayer for our safe travels.
slowrollwv Posted July 27, 2018 #4 Posted July 27, 2018 Did he offer you some slightly stale rum balls? Those things don't last long enough to get stale.

Those things don't last long enough to get stale. :sign yeah that: I could have sent some along with him for the 14 hour trip with 2 small children in tow, BUT somehow I doubt they would get past the TSA. for carry on and would get picked up for sure in the baggage screening.
Air Ready Auto Posted August 1, 2018 Author #6 Posted August 1, 2018 So far I've almost been thrown in jail (driving while white), almost been pickpocketed, have eaten a lot of awesome food, got a little drunk and got 2 tattoos with my brother-in-law. Been an awesome trip so far. Pictures to come.
Flyinfool Posted August 1, 2018 #7 Posted August 1, 2018 Were the tattoos and the drunk part related? Glad you made it there in one piece with the kids. Your car is still mostly in one piece...... Well it since you posted here, it seems that you have not completely melted into a puddle yet. Have fun down there.

Unfortunately beer and tequila had a lot to do with the tattoos. Fortunately I got tattoos I wanted anyway. As far as melting goes, the AC in the car is getting a workout.
Air Ready Auto Posted August 2, 2018 Author #9 Posted August 2, 2018 Getting gorditas with the family. Two guys making some of the best tacos I've ever had.
Flyinfool Posted August 2, 2018 #10 Posted August 2, 2018 So you were able to find someone that knows how to make Mexican food down there huh?
Air Ready Auto Posted August 2, 2018 Author #11 Posted August 2, 2018 We went to a party for my niece. They have the coming of age party at 15. We had to get all dressed up. This is my wife and 2 youngest. The church was beautiful. The birthday girl was too. With her parents. This is where the after party was.
Air Ready Auto Posted August 2, 2018 Author #12 Posted August 2, 2018 (edited) Today was their first time on a horse. Miranda loved it. Christian not so much. My wife had to take a turn. Edited August 2, 2018 by Air Ready Auto
Air Ready Auto Posted August 2, 2018 Author #13 Posted August 2, 2018 After our adventures on the horse named Paulo, it was time for a fish lunch. I couldn't get the kids to try it.
Air Ready Auto Posted August 4, 2018 Author #14 Posted August 4, 2018 I'm not Catholic but my wife's family is. We went to see this monument.
Air Ready Auto Posted August 6, 2018 Author #15 Posted August 6, 2018 No trip to Mexico would be complete without visiting the local soccer team for a game. Their home team is Santos. The stadium was nice and it's amazing how the entire community got into the game.
Air Ready Auto Posted August 10, 2018 Author #17 Posted August 10, 2018 Home from Mexico. A huge thanks again to @Flyinfool for helping us out with our car. Hope you enjoy the tequila Jeff.
Air Ready Auto Posted August 10, 2018 Author #19 Posted August 10, 2018 On our last night there my brother-in-law decided we needed to have a real Mexican hamburger. My wife has a pic of me holding this thing. It was as big as my face. No I didn't finish it by myself. Obviously I'm talking about the one with the stick in it. The following pictures are of the 2 reasons I wound up with 2 more tattoos than I went there with. That tequila is easily the best I have ever had and the beer was cheep but delicious. A few bottles of that tequila managed to find their way home with me.
