XV1100SE Posted July 24, 2018 #3 Posted July 24, 2018 It was in 2004 or 2005 they went to the "pillow top" seat. The '99 to '04 was a different seat but the pan is the same.

Freebird Posted July 25, 2018 #5 Posted July 25, 2018 Corbin's are a love or hate seat. They are very hard but for those who like them, they are great. There seems to be no middle ground, either you love them or hate them. As a temporary seat, I don't think it should matter that much. It would get you by. Personally, I love the Corbin seats but many don't. It takes several thousand miles for them to break in for you. They are expensive new. If you've found one CHEAP, you should be ok with it for the short time it will take to get your other one redone.
