Air Ready Auto Posted June 15, 2018 #1 Posted June 15, 2018 Is it possible to mount a Batwing fairing to our first gen bikes? Specifically the 83 in my case.

Air Ready Auto Posted June 16, 2018 Author #3 Posted June 16, 2018 Well after the 3rd,,,, no 7th,,,, or 17th attempt at plastic welding and gluing and almost more tape than original plastic, I have decided to strip Lucy down and give her a make over. I'm envisioning something a little less extreme than what zagger did but the end result will look nothing like show room.
SpencerPJ Posted June 16, 2018 #4 Posted June 16, 2018 Post pictures if you do it. Like Snyper316 said, anythings possible.
luvmy40 Posted June 16, 2018 #5 Posted June 16, 2018 Take a look at the classified section. The last I looked Mralex had a the left and right main fairings posted at a very reasonable price. I've bought a couple items from him and the transactions were seamless. It would cost a good deal more than he is asking and involve much more work to remove all the original fairings and mounts and install a bat wing. Now, if you just want to, then go for it. I'd like to see the results.

I have been looking at second gens for long tours so I'm thinking Lucy will be my every day / weekend afternoon toy. Plus, it's just fun to do something different.

I've been thinking of adding a Gen 2, maybe RSTD, to my garage as well, but keep my 83 just cuz it's badass fast.
