cowpuc Posted May 24, 2018 #1 Posted May 24, 2018 This is the same dealership in Alabama (Allsport) that was offering em last week for an opening bid of 24k and, if you followed that auction you know they got no bids. It looks like this may end the same. If it does,, it will be interesting to see if they drop em another grand... https://www.ebay.com/itm/2018-Yamaha-VENTURE/202316210567?hash=item2f1afc6187:g:YWYAAOSwslda9JNC&vxp=mtr
cowpuc Posted June 3, 2018 Author #2 Posted June 3, 2018 ,, that last go around apparently drew no interest either and it looks like we are going to the super duper DUPER DUPER deal now with a starting bid of 22k and no reserve again!!!! https://www.ebay.com/itm/2018-Yamaha-VENTURE-/202325748550?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10
American Posted June 3, 2018 #3 Posted June 3, 2018 (edited) This dealer does not advertise the same price at their dealership and they are depending on a bidding war to run up the price in the auction. So far in three auctions they have yet to see a single bidder. It is doubtful that this dealer would give you this price at their dealership. Further how many people have over $20,000 dollars in cash just laying around to even bid on this bike? If you don't you will have to scramble to try and arrange financing and you will only have a certain number of days to get it done or the sale is void and you will lose your deposit that you are required to put down on the bike. Like I said, this deal has to many landmines in it unless you have cash and the dealer will really honor the price. Without cash this auction is a huge risk. I find this offer to be more valid as it is the dealer listed as the seller. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Star-Venture/132643546142?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140107095009%26meid%3D5b6d007e954f43a1bd109833772a2dff%26pid%3D100040%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D202325748550%26itm%3D132643546142&_trksid=p2046732.c100040.m2060 In the other auction who the hell is nightwind15A. Plus nightwind15A sure does sell a lot of other stuff not motorcycle related. Sorry, I just don't trust that other auction, if it seems to good to be true is probably is to good to be true. Maybe if they would do the auction under the dealers own name they would have some trust and credibility, but to try and run an auction though the nightwind15A is a huge red flag for me. Looks like this dealer has played the old bait and switch in the past on price: https://www.yelp.com/biz/allsport-powersports-decatur Yelp is not letting the link take you to their review page for this dealer so you will have to do a search and find the yelp review. Here is the bad review copied: Michael H. Vienna, VA 0 friends 3 reviews Share review Embed review Compliment Send message Follow Michael H. 3/31/2012 First to Review Stay away from this dealer. They listed a leftover 2011 Triumph on Cycle Trader for $9,999. I called and was told they had four at that price they were trying to get rid of. After arranging to fly down to pick it up, I called the next morning to give them a deposit. Was then told the price was a "mistake" and they jacked it up overnight to $11,000. They refused to stand by the price they quoted. Classic bait and switch. Edited June 3, 2018 by American
Rafterd Posted June 3, 2018 #4 Posted June 3, 2018 I’m gonna wait 2-3 years, till I get around 100k on mine, then see if I can find a used one somewhere. I’m just not paying that price for a new one.

cowpuc Posted June 3, 2018 Author #6 Posted June 3, 2018 drews has a lot of interest in this BEAUTIFUL SVTC:parrots: I think we should kick the tires and light the fires and head down to Bama and check out this dealership Drewski!!! Thinking about it,,,, I cant help but wonder if we dont have an active member who lives down in the Decatur Alabama area that could stop in and see whats up,,,,, I would gladly do it and even record on video the truth about whether this dealership is for real.. I really truly do still think that in a very short few months, after the 19's are released, left over 2018's will be able to be able to be had for under 20,, may be worth the wait if someone looking for a new Venture wants to play the odds, IMHO...
bucfan11 Posted August 17, 2018 #7 Posted August 17, 2018 I bought this. I rode my Wing up to Decatur Alabama and rode a brand new Svtc back home to Florida. I got a fantastic deal, far lower than the prices on this thread and the dealership was great. By far the best purchasing experience I have ever had. Ride home would not be complete without rain.
