I've been trying to locate replacement lower tinted wind vent replacement, couldn't find any so I made my own. Also Tina wanted passenger pegs to allow different leg positions for long rides. Since diamond R went out of business I decided to make my own. Below are finished photo's of both.

Great job on both items. I had the Diamond R on the '99 but Eileen actually ended up never using them for some reason. It seems that most ladies want to stretch out a bit, not have their feet higher. Never have figured out a good way to do that on the RSV.

Nice job Ron, I figured you would just make your own wind deflectors, but the passenger footpegs worked out really nice. They dont call you the "Wiz" for nothin:clap2:

Please post a follow up on how she likes the pegs. My wife wants something to help with the seat pain, she mentioned somewhere else to rest her feet. I talked to Rick Butler last week about seat mods to help her too. He was too booked to get to it before MD so I'm going to send them when we get back.

Hey Ron I'm reviving your thread. I'm looking to add similar pegs for the school marm. That 9 hour ride home from Don's MD got to her a bit. Do you have any pics of the brackets you made? I haven't pulled the boards to see what I'm getting into yet.

Here is a close up of the bracket. I didn't have a way to make the necessary bends so I made 3 tabs to weld on the top plate of the floorboard cover. One tab has a hole that aligns with the rear mounting bolt of the floorboard, the second one fits against the front of the floorboard and the third on bolts the arm to the assembly. I then aligned it with the floorboard and drilled down through the plate and floorboard and put a stainless steel bolt down through it to secure the front of the plate.

Well nuts. I cant find one now. Don what about one of those "flip out" type highway pegs. The ones I can think of have a plate like thing bolts to bottom of floorboard and the peg swings out and will fold back against floorboard.
