Well..that was the ONLY critique of this fabulous bike. The paint. That is now gone the way of the Dodo....

3 hours of prep washing, glaze administering, sealant administering, Mother's Hard Carnauba Wax administering, and good old fashioned muscles and micro-cloths.

I now have this beauty shining away and then taken out for a Tim Horton's Run, with Mama now on-board!

I am SO GLAD that I didn't like the new Wing...I am SO GLAD that Honda put out that new Wing...and I now have a bike that is like sitting on your favorite couch, as you boogie down the road...comfortable as all get out!. Feet forward seating...knee angle, now so comfortable. This bike can swallow hundreds of miles, like they were in the ten's....wow. I fined tuned the sound to the way I like it...spent about a half hour on that. Set up all the rest of the entire Infotainment to my liking, and all in all, a great day in the saddle, with Charlotte now looking as fine a paint job, as anything out there...it just took work to get past the Clear Coat defects that hid the sheen and beauty of the underneath paint. But, no more! :)

On the Saddle, I used saddle soap...and it came out looking ace!

BTW..the first time the Co-Rider's foot boards have been down. They were up, just before we left for a ride. Mama couldn't wait until the full break in...so I kept the RPM's around 2,000 all the time...and her first ride on the bike-----> She went NUTS over it! I had set up Dual Zone before we left...and she had a blast switching around from USB, FM, Sat Radio, and then we contacted a Big Rig on Channel 19...and he freaked out, when he found out it was the bike behind him...and then my wife said hello...and he started laughing...in how fantastic this tech all was....we had a great talk as we Party Line'ed down the road, the three of us. It is so cool...so cool that Dee-Dee can mike up on the C.B. and be part of the conversation. I can't wait until we see our Wing friends...and they hear her, as well as me. There will be more SVTC's out the door, LOLOLOLOL! What...a....BLAST! Have to now just crank up 1,000 miles...so she and I can get the heck outta Dodge! Boise, Idaho...hang on...WE'RE COMING! ----------------------------------------------------------------zoom----------------------------------------------------------------> Boise. :)

Post Edit..."She asked me on the Intercom..."Hon...what HEAT, were they all talking about?!?!? I dunno....do you feel any? No...I have tons of cool air all around me. Well...I have the the upper and lower wind deflectors just bringing in some air on a mild angle, and I also have the two lower foot vents also open." That was our 'engine heat' conversation. It lasted all of 12.6 seconds! Like I said....WHAT HEAT? You can have a tornado happening on the bike, if you wish to ride within one, yep...you sure can....lol. What a fabulous ride this bike is, in sheer comfort, and amenities!

Here she is...all spiffed and spoofed...now Charlotte looks as good as my 2008 Wing ever did...and for that...I am now,...a 100 percent satisfied, SVTC owner and purchaser.

Post Edit: "I just have to say...after about two weeks of riding my SVTC, this is the best Tour Class motorcycle, I have ever owned. All the way back to 1969....the best! I am so glad that I decided to invest in one."

Joe

Looks great. I like the third gens more everytime I see one. I have ONE unrelated question though. Why do you link your pictures from another site rather than just uploading them here? I don't really care except that I'm afraid of what happened with Photopost. All the pictures disappeared when they went with their pay through the nose plan.

Oh, it's just 'ya go, with what you know'. That's all. :)

I can just sip a coffee and STARE at the SVTC....they did an amazing job in the flow and design of all the bodywork. And oh...God bless them, for only needing 10 minutes to RE and RE the air filter. Sometimes I still need to pinch myself...that I no longer need to strip half the bike down, to try and even get to the air filter, on well, you know...that 'other' model...:)

That is why I love Liquid Glass, takes me only an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes to polish the bike. I have to find some more Liquid Glass or I hope someone brings it back to market, Liquid Glass is an awesome product.

Hi American,

Yes, you piqued my interest in your discussing this product. I looked around, and it is quite hard to find, if at all. I did find some place in Northern Ontario that is selling it, but for the huge commercial jug. It was very expensive, their asking price. Just do a search in Canada for your product...and I'm sure you will find the couple of places that SAY, they have it in stock. I say SAY...so be careful should you wish to persue that. :)

Mother's Beautification products have a great rep...and I have used them on all my bikes, for as long as I have been aware of the company. I can (through use) very much recommend any of their products, the pre-cleaner, the glaze, and sealer, and the Mother's hard pure Carnauba.

They (Mother's) call it on their different product plastic bottles, the 1 and 2 and 3 step beautification and protection system. I think you can get all Mother's products pretty much anywhere in the U.S. and Canada.

BTW, where on the bike to you see the date of manufacture plate or sticker? You can't view the headstock, where it usually is. Right now, I'm installing Infotainment v12.0.6. as I type. :)

Look on the bottom of the bike on the right side, on the steel frame rail is a sticker like in you cars door jam with the bikes information on it including the month and year the bike was built in as well as the VIN number on it.

On the right bottom rail, right side? Ok...thanks. I'm just waiting until Charlotte updates...and then will go and pull out the USB and take a look. I'll post to this thread what I see there. With my VIN ending in 042, I'd imagine it is the earliest month of production. Let me take a look in a short while...and we'll see when she was born... :)

She came into this world in the month of June, 2017
