Is there a Genuine Yamaha Clutch Slave Cylinder Rebuild Kit? I can't find a part number for one anywhere. There are several after market kits on amazon and fleabay but no Yamaha kits.

Yeah, Partzilla has the slave cylinder for $84.25. I was hoping to get a rebuild kit rather than a new cylinder, but I want OEM Yamaha parts if possible.

Why get a kit when the new ones are almost as cheap....?

Considering I found an OEM rear brake MC rebuild kit, NOS for $30.00 delivered, I'd hoped to have the same luck with the clutch slave kit.

I need a new rain suit anyway so I'll probably just order a new slave, the side cover gasket, bolt seal and Frog Toggs from Partzilla to get the free shipping.

See Honey, I saved money!

Of course this all assuming I am leaking from the slave and not from one of the rubber hydraulic hoses. I'll have to do a deep dive, seek and destroy inspection when the rain clears up to be sure.

If you look at the 89 VR clutch fiche you will see they do sell a kit to rebuild the clutch slave..

https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/yamaha/motorcycle/1989/venture-royale-xvz13dw/clutch

It is item 30. This is what I used to rebuild my 89s clutch slave a number of years ago and it hasnt leaked yet.

Checking the part number on the clutch slave replacement, they are the same for the 83 and 89.

Hope this helps you out..
