MamaMo Posted April 28, 2008 #26 Posted April 28, 2008 Marcarl why there is a meet already in the Works Called the WV Skid In. Surely you have that on your schedule. Food, Dairy Queen, Twisties, and the Beautiful West Virginia Mountains. Almost Heaven. By the way Skid only lives around 20 miles from our house. Yammer Dan around 40. So everyone come to the Wild and Wonderful WV and look this problem over first hand.
BEER30 Posted April 28, 2008 #27 Posted April 28, 2008 Well Evil Knievel wouldn't have a problem !!! What's yours ? :rotf: Set up a cable trolley (Geronimo line) , a couple of telephone polls , some steel cable , a few pulleys (snatch blocks and a harness to connect to the scoot and then airlift that puppy across that creek ! Then it doesn't touch the water during the flood . I bet the community will help chip in , especially if they get flooded in . BEER30
KiteSquid Posted April 28, 2008 #29 Posted April 28, 2008 Maybe MamaMo will get me one of these? :cool10: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Why-buy-a-motorcycle-trailer-Buy-a-trailing-system-tow_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6755QQihZ002QQitemZ120244731215QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW If the Yukon gets stuck the V-Max can push it!!!!!!
Yammer Dan Posted April 28, 2008 #30 Posted April 28, 2008 Yep Thats the ONE!! Frogman asked me if I wanted to CROSS IT!! Didn't take me long to answer and I used to ride the Dirt. Always tried to avoid the water holes!! As for the Pole II spent a few years doing that and that Ventue would have a load compareable to about 15,000 pounds when it was in the middle of the creek. Better have some pretty good poles and some anchors.
Guest Ken8143 Posted April 28, 2008 #31 Posted April 28, 2008 Well looks like no riding bikes this coming weekend. Rained all night and on and off today with more rain in the forecast. Calling for rain tonight and tomorrow. Took my truck over to the other side about 1:30 just to make sure about getting to work. 1. Today looking from house to main road. 2:30pm 2. Looking down on crossing notice the whitewater and the falls below depends on amount of water flow to how bad it looks. today 3. the bank on other side of footbridge for the ones that had the bridge idea. Aw shucks what is the problem here? Anybody could navigate that bridge and trail. That water isn't nothing. Just put some chains on the tires and away you go.
ctraylor Posted April 28, 2008 #32 Posted April 28, 2008 Just get a good running start. You should be ok, well, maybe.........:080402gudl_prv::Hitit:
FROG MAN Posted May 6, 2008 Author #33 Posted May 6, 2008 I took the 99 out this evening but not by choice. I think I'm loosing my nerve or the memories of going down in that creek won't leave me. I'm going to try the 84 this weekend unless it rains again.:(
