TRF VENTURE Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 I have a cold starting problem and have replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs and cleaned the carbs everything is good to go. When warm starts fine when cold, choke on choke off hold the throttle don't hold the throttle and it will finally start. It was suggested to check the throttle position sensor. It reads 815 ohms and not enough adjustment to get it down to 700 ohms. Any ideas?
djh3 Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 My 89 GT Mustang would "cycle" at idle. TPS was a little off and adjustment was all used up. The mount has slightly elongated holes. I used a small rat tail file and made the slots a tick longs and it was enough to get it in the window. Otherwise you'll have to change it.
