2003 royal star no 5 th gear help

Hello , any run into a problem of no 5 th gear ? Cover off clutch basket out no broken parts friction disk in spec. Any other thing I need to check ?

Shifter selector in 5 th gear position but is no t engaging gears

I'd post this in the 2nd gen section. If 5th is the only gear not working I think it'd be internal transmission. I've never been in the Venture tranny, there's plenty here that can help better than I can.
