Marcarl Posted May 5, 2018 #1 Posted May 5, 2018 Had a bit of a breeze today, Marca took the day away and when she came home she found something different, and then blamed me for not looking after the place properly. Last time she gets a day off!!!! We had 2 off them blue spruces in our front yard, now we are down to just one. Do they have babies? Took us about an hour to chop it up using my old Haliday chain saw. That sucker got heavier over the years, didn't used to be so hard to lift.

Are you and the Mrs, going to start planting another Blue Spruce, my all time favorite tree. They are so majestic, when mature! Again sorry for the loss. All of Toronto after about 12:30 PM, got hit with bursts of 65 MPH winds as well.
slowrollwv Posted May 5, 2018 #3 Posted May 5, 2018 Carl glad it missed the house. That would have caused big damage.
stickhandle2 Posted May 5, 2018 #4 Posted May 5, 2018 Never enough to do huh Carl......A tree went down by us as well, the people were lucky it didnt hit their house or even their fence. We just had branches scattered over our front yard from the trees we have in the front. Mike
Marcarl Posted May 5, 2018 Author #5 Posted May 5, 2018 Got a chipper this morning, now it's all cleaned up. Weeelll except for the spot in the lawn, the stump and some firewood. Neighbor had a small tree come down as well, so he helped chip ours and we chipped his and took it to the dump for recycling, cost near $100cdn, next time I'll bring it to Michigan lol.
dogman Posted May 5, 2018 #6 Posted May 5, 2018 Sorry that nice blue spruce came down. Your so fast at clean up a person can't even offer to help.
Marcarl Posted May 5, 2018 Author #7 Posted May 5, 2018 Sorry that nice blue spruce came down. Your so fast at clean up a person can't even offer to help. Thinking about that,,, the stump is still there. Thinking about having a pulling contest at our M&G, you are coming aren't ya?
dogman Posted May 6, 2018 #8 Posted May 6, 2018 Thinking about that,,, the stump is still there. Thinking about having a pulling contest at our M&G, you are coming aren't ya? Yes for sure I will be there. (I haven't seen the thread yet) I'll bring my old axe and can help chop it to smithereens, unless you want it gone before and I can come over next week when I'm off. We could even poor gas on it and do and nice controlled burn. But it might be fun if we all take some wacks at your M&G. Something to remember.
Flyinfool Posted May 6, 2018 #9 Posted May 6, 2018 Would they let me bring a case or 2 of DYNAMITE across the border. Get that stump out in a big hurry and move it to a neighbor a few blocks away....
Marcarl Posted May 6, 2018 Author #10 Posted May 6, 2018 Would they let me bring a case or 2 of DYNAMITE across the border. Get that stump out in a big hurry and move it to a neighbor a few blocks away.... Oh I think that might work. There are restrictions on guns and amo, I not sure about dynamite. Could you make it look like chewing gum? And oh! I don't want a big hole eh? everything needs to be neat and trim when ur done. And you don't have to worry about the neighbors, most are old and by the time they figure they heard a noise it would be night time and nothing left to see. and if the stump ended up on their roof they would have to wait for somebody else to tell them it was there, and none of them can see that far anymore,,, so quite safe that way.
Flyinfool Posted May 6, 2018 #11 Posted May 6, 2018 So I guess then that if everything on the property is level regardless of what that level is, then it is not considered a hole eh? I guess I could say they are road flares...... Or use C4 and say it is silly putty?
