Some time back there was a post re: or should I say complaining about the new pain in the butt spouts on new fuel cans. But I could not find it it back. Reason I was looking for it is because I just stumbled upon this video I wanted to add to the post.

Spouts??? what do you use them for?? we learned how to fill without a spout and wash the tank off as we progressed. After that we lit a cigarette to wait for evaporation.

I think I posted about these last year. I ordered several from Rural King and they work great. I hate the new cans.

I remember you talking about the new gas tanks and was wondering what all your fussing was about. I have 6, 5 gallon tanks I have been using forever so I had no idea what you were talking about until I used the 2 new 5 gallon tanks I got at walmart that I shipped to Puerto Rico for my generator.

Who in the name of everything thought this was a good idea? Just what were they trying to accomplish besides irritating customers? They are awkward to use, leak fuel just using them as they were "designed", and several times, I overfilled the generator tank causing fuel to spill over the sides.

Now that's what I call environmentally friendly and safe. NOT!

Thanks for the video @saddlebum. I will be sure to ship a couple of these spouts to Puerto Rico.

I have about 50+ of these left from a big order. I can mail them in Canada @10 for C$5.00. I haven't looked into USA mail cost, but can probably do it at US$5.00. (Canada Post is expensive to US).

Pm me if you would like some.

I use construction grade fuel cans in 5 gallon size, they are metal cans and come with a funnel that fits over the spout. You can dump the can fast. Tractor Supply sells them but charge for the funnel or go to a construction supply company (Sun Belt Rental is the one I used).
