Ronbo Posted April 18, 2018 #1 Posted April 18, 2018 Hello, I have an older service manual for the Venture which shows hex bolts and a tightening torque of 18 ftlbs for the two bolts that hold the front caliper together. My 2012 has 10mm bolts and the 18 ftlbs feels light, I'm thinking it should be more like 25 ftlbs. I would be grateful if someone could confirm the correct torque for me. Thanks.
BlueSky Posted April 19, 2018 #2 Posted April 19, 2018 I bought a CD off ebay that has many of the Yamaha bike's manuals. Accoring to it the slider pins are supposed to be torqued to 18 ft lbs and the bolts that hold the caliper to the forks should be torqued to 29 ft lbs.
