Stratcat Posted April 26, 2008 #1 Posted April 26, 2008 Wednesday was a perfect 78 degress here in Louisville, KY and beautiful, Deb and I took a vacation day and played hookie. The Kid was in school, all the riding buddies were working so we had a little motorcycle date day. It was very nice. We only put about 150 miles on em, as were stopping often and just hanging out. Here are a few pics and scenes from the day, thanks for indulging my photo habit! http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff242/stratocurtster/20080424_22.jpg?t=1209251180 http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff242/stratocurtster/20080424_33.jpg?t=1209251204 http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff242/stratocurtster/20080424_43.jpg?t=1209251225 http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff242/stratocurtster/20080425_9.jpg?t=1209251727 http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff242/stratocurtster/20080425_31.jpg?t=1209251754 http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff242/stratocurtster/20080424_9.jpg?t=1209251787 All the best one's of course inlcude my beautiful bride
pegscraper Posted April 26, 2008 #2 Posted April 26, 2008 Wow, what a fine looking ba- I mean bike. Is there a bike in that picture? I do like that black and white Roadstar. It really isn't hooky if you take a vacation day, is it? I did that once last summer too. I was headed to a shop where I was supposed to do some work that day. It was a fabulous day, weatherwise. They don't get any better than that day was. I got to the road the shop was on where I should have turned down, and I throttled right on by and kept on going.
Stratcat Posted April 27, 2008 Author #3 Posted April 27, 2008 Thanks Peg! I guess a vacation day is not officially hookie but rare for us just the same with the weather we've been having it's hard to keep the mind on work and not on riding for sure:confused24: Yeah and she is a cutie !
Mariner Fan Posted April 27, 2008 #4 Posted April 27, 2008 Looks like you picked the perfect day to skip work! Curt, thanks for sharing your pictures. Man, I wish Ruth would like to ride like Deb! Looking forward to meeting you guys. I went out with a few buds today. Nice but windy out there. We stopped at the local Yamaha shop and I noticed that the 08 Venture wasn't there. I asked the owner about it and he said that he sold it and a silver one that was in the back getting prepped. He also said he has a firm offer to sell another black cherry. Don't know if these are going to be ridden local or not. Never know, they might be down in your neck of the woods. Bob

Cheers, My friend with my favorite screename:Laugh: You betcha, we haven't done this often but after this one we have commited to a work on a couple of these a year, it was a great day. Don't get me wrong I love it when Carson (the kid) is with us on and on the back of mine, but a few days of just the two of us is pretty sweet! Congrats to your wife, I love being out riding with Deb, it's the best.

Tatonka Posted May 16, 2008 #18 Posted May 16, 2008 Your spelling caught me on this thread at first because it looked like you knew one of the Native American languages. After checking, I saw what wonderful pictures you take. Thanks for sharing. Hokahe, sometimes spelled (pronounced) hookahay seemed to have meant "Let's go!" or "Let's beat feet!" (also transalation of "didi mau" in Vietnamese). Let's hokehe together one day! Ride hard, ride safe and always ride with God.
