Marcarl Posted April 18, 2018 #5 Posted April 18, 2018 I've been known to drop a 2wheeler every now and then, can I get on the list to give it a proper drop-test?
ragtop69gs Posted April 18, 2018 #6 Posted April 18, 2018 My lical dealer has had a few on the floor, when I asked about a demo ride they said NO, every one they get is already sold and no Yamaha demo days are scheduled. Put me on that ride list too! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
BIG TOM Posted April 18, 2018 Author #7 Posted April 18, 2018 I got a text from Chad at Pioneer...he talked to their Yamaha rep. and he told him that he doesn't for see any problem with having a demo for us....
Mimurph Posted April 18, 2018 #8 Posted April 18, 2018 I'm gonna warn you now... It's a dangerous thing to do.. But if you must test ride it, bring your checkbook. My wife made me buy one when we finished our ride.. Of course I didn't complain. Oh and I came from riding a Honda st1300. So it was a totally different experience..
cowpuc Posted April 18, 2018 #9 Posted April 18, 2018 I got a text from Chad at Pioneer...he talked to their Yamaha rep. and he told him that he doesn't for see any problem with having a demo for us.... ,,, maybe,, just maybe you should text Chad back and tell him you have heard of 1 or 2 club members that still have a small amount of misgivings toward Mom Yam for bailing on the old archiac water cooled V-4's and you were wondering if the Rep's would/could also include one of those little 1700cc V-Max's for doing side by side comparison's with in case anyone wanted to... Personally,,, I think that would be a classy thing for Mom Yam to do and would GREATLY appreciate the chance to ride a bike with that motor in it.... Regardless,, GOOD ON YA BIG TOM for working on setting this up = you da man!!!!
slowrollwv Posted April 18, 2018 #10 Posted April 18, 2018 You can put my name on the list also. Chuck

Be careful...wives might blame you for their husbands shucking out $27,000! You might have to enter the Witness Identity Relocation Program. Be ready to run...

Did you keep the ST1300 for your sport rides, Mimurph?
saddlebum Posted April 19, 2018 #14 Posted April 19, 2018 I've been known to drop a 2wheeler every now and then, can I get on the list to give it a proper drop-test? Yeh just give him one without a kickstand he always forgets to use it anyway, hence the convert to three wheel P/S put me down to test ride one too.(one with a kick stand)
Mimurph Posted April 19, 2018 #15 Posted April 19, 2018 Did you keep the ST1300 for your sport rides, Mimurph? No I kept my old friend my roadstar. Three bikes was too many for me to keep on the road.
YamahaParExcellence Posted April 19, 2018 #16 Posted April 19, 2018 Wow..two great looking bikes. That SVTC just looks like it rather be booking along an interstate....wow. Joe
Marcarl Posted April 21, 2018 #17 Posted April 21, 2018 Yeh just give him one without a kickstand he always forgets to use it anyway, hence the convert to three wheel (one with a kick stand) What kickstand? Is that something new?
RandyR Posted April 21, 2018 #18 Posted April 21, 2018 What kickstand? Is that something new? Its an accessory for flattening aluminum cans.
saddlebum Posted April 22, 2018 #19 Posted April 22, 2018 What kickstand? Is that something new?And this is why no one, and I do mean no one is as good at picking up a dropped bike as our one and only @Marcarl
