Over the years like everything else I get into I'm ending up a decent little collection of Didgeridoos. Last week I picked up another one out of an auction for 6 bucks 'cause no one knew what the 'H' it was, and it was sorta ugly. It was just listed as an 'item', but you could tell it was old and an original. I just got thru sanding and hitting it with it's first coat of clear. Anyone else besides me and Aussie Annie that knows about them of even has one??

I can play one with a few squeaks, whistles, and pops tossed in, but nothing like these folks. I could listen to this stuff for hours..... :-)

Never ceases to amaze me the diverse interests of folks in this group! :)

I first came across the didgeridoo in the 50's & 60's in the UK, there was an Australian entertainer/ artist on kids' TV called Rolf Harris, he used to play one & it really is a fascinating sound.

My wife's nephew has one, around 6ft-7ft long & he makes some pretty good sounds playing it. It's all in the (re) breathing, which he's pretty good at.

It's a neat instrument! Love the sounds it makes.

Our nephew used to live here in BC & was travelling (flying) to see his folks in Ontario a few years ago for Christmas. He wanted to take his digi & show them what he could do. We took him to Vancouver airport but the airline insisted his digi could not go as cabin baggage & had to go into the hold as checked baggage. He wasn't happy about that & didn't want to get his digi damaged, so he asked us if we would take it back home with us, keep it safe & he would collect it on his return to BC.

It lived in its case under the bed in our guest room for about six weeks. I was sort of hoping he'd forgotten about it, but he hadn't! I have thought about making or buying one but I don't think I have the discipline it takes to learn.
