Greetings all! Just had my new Star Venture delivered from the dealer to my garage. Still 6 inches of ice for the length of my drive so will be a while before 1st cruise. I HATE the orange and black sticker on the gas tank and have started removing with my now broken fingernails. Anyone have a suggestion for removal while not damaging the paint? Thanks in advance.

Run a hair blower over the area thereby heating up the glue that holds it on. It should just peel right off. Did mine that way. Don’t leave the blower stationary in one spot as depending on the hair blower, they can get very hot. Doug

Thanks for the suggestion Doug, did you remove any glue residue with kerosene?

Thanks for the suggestions, world of difference with the hair drier (did peel right off) and cleaned up goo with WD40 that I already had.

I know that that label is sliding off of our tank ASAP! Will do the low heat, hair-dryer and WD40 gentle wipe up. Then a soap wash, and sealer wax...with an over Carnauba wax, in that area.

I remove that sticker on all my bikes and living in Southwest Florida makes removal easy. I then use some Liquid Glass Polish and it looks like the sticker was never there.
