cowpuc Posted March 5, 2018 #1 Posted March 5, 2018 Talking more about bikes, I just found this bike buying/selling site ( https://www.rumbleon.com ) and have been checking em out.. Pretty interesting twist in that they offer free pick up on a bike you sell to them if you accept their offer (which I am sure is "trade-in" or below based) and then they offer free delivery if you buy a bike from them.. Going over their sell point pricing = not bad at all IMHO (also why I imagine their purchase offers have to be 60 to 70 cents on the dollar).. May sound strange but, due to the scammers on CL, Ebay and the like plus the hassles commonly associated with dealing with tire kickers plus the condition of the bike market - I honestly think this new kid on the block has a real good shot at staying in the black.. If nothing else, they appear to offer a fairly straight forward, reality based view of what particular bikes may be worth on the open market at any given time IMHO. Definitely a plus for the perspective buyer and/or seller alike.. Thoughts? Experiences? Anyone dealt with them?

AABBCC Posted May 29, 2018 #3 Posted May 29, 2018 I'm going through the process of buying a Venture from Rumbleon.com right now. I'm set that my next bike is be a Venture, but there are not many to choose from locally. I even considered flying into another state and riding home. While shopping around of course I stumbled into Rumbleon.com with only 3 available for sale. 1 had too many miles for me. Another was pending sale. The last one was a 2010 Venture 10k miles for $7,200. Fantastic! Then I lucked out; the other Venture became available! It was a deal I just couldn't pass up. A 1999 Venture w/20k miles for $2,988, shipped, no dealer fee, 90 day warranty, 3 day money back guarantee w/$500 restock fee. https://www.rumbleon.com/Buy/Details?Vin=JYAVP04E7XA001752 Shortly after paying $250 online to hold the bike, I received a call explaining they don't have the bike ready yet. It's on it's way to their Nevada hub for documentation. From there I'll receive full disclosure (and the option to cancel w/o any fees) of anything they find wrong before they ship it. I assume it goes to their east coat hub before making it's way to me. The time it takes for consumers to receive the bike may be their biggest obstacle to overcome.
