luvmy40 Posted May 25, 2018 Author #51 Posted May 25, 2018 I finally got a round to fixing some of the broken plastics. She doesn't look all that different but there's significantly less rattling now and no danger of the side panels flying off on the highway.
ChiefGunner Posted May 25, 2018 #52 Posted May 25, 2018 Made a little headway today. Not as much as I'd liked to have gotten done but a start. I spent most of the day on a wild goose chase looking for some 2" flexible aluminum duct to make an exhaust vent for the shop. Nada, nunca! So I'll have to order it from the interwebz. I did pick up new fuel line and got that and the head covers with the new OEM Gen 2 gaskets installed. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=111794 Now to get started on dinner. Chicken Tandoori tonight, with fresh ginger and cilantro served with lemon/chicken rice and yogurt sauce. YUMMMMMM! Use flexible dryer ducting until you can get what you want!
luvmy40 Posted May 25, 2018 Author #53 Posted May 25, 2018 I was able to order 2" flexible aluminum duct from the interwebz. I was just hoping to get it that day as I had an itch to start tuning things and don't really care for CO poisoning.

Have you ever thought about removing the plastic and let the engine shine? I have seen some 1st gens that way and they look good.
luvmy40 Posted May 28, 2018 Author #55 Posted May 28, 2018 There ain't enough Mother's in Ohio to make this engine shine!
