KIC Posted February 17, 2018 #1 Posted February 17, 2018 So I flew to Oklahoma and picked up my 06 Stratoliner. Sold my 89 baby though in the process. Came with Cobra pipes and a Mustang seat. Also have the originals of those. I still have my son-in-laws 86 that I will start working on to upgrade/repair a few issues it has. New chapter in riding for me ......
OrlinEngh Posted February 17, 2018 #2 Posted February 17, 2018 That's a nice looking ride, both of them, I do like the looks of the Stratoliner enjoy the ride. Orlin
cecdoo Posted February 17, 2018 #3 Posted February 17, 2018 I always liked those Strats, sharp looking bike. Hope you enjoy many care free miles on the new scoot! Craig
cowpuc Posted February 17, 2018 #4 Posted February 17, 2018 GORGEOUS SCOOT!! My nephew had one (sold it to his brother) that I got to ride quite a bit = AWESOME scoot IMHO.. That thing loved to idle along at highway speeds and always felt like it could pull a 3 bedroom house behind it and not even know it was back there.. He and his wife toured some on it and I think the only complaint he really ever had was tire wear = great big thumping hard hitting V-Twin ate rear tires (about 3500 miles per tire).. If I also recall,, it was a little finicky when it came to oil changes,, seems like it had 3 drains or something that you had to be aware of... Bike was a RIOT to ride,,, definitely a torque monster!! His was the "S" and silver in color = lots of chrome,, LOTS of shiney and WOWZY are they pretty!! CONGRATS Kic on your new baby!!! Puc
Kybigmac Posted February 18, 2018 #5 Posted February 18, 2018 Congrats! Stratoliners are great bikes,I owned one for 7 years and loved it. It is hard on rear tires, but the grin on your face every time you twist the throttle makes it worth it!
