RandyR Posted February 6, 2018 #1 Posted February 6, 2018 https://newatlas.com/harley-davidson-electric-motorcycle/53234/ the average new bike buyer keeps getting older and older, for one, and the kids underneath them just don't seem to be as interested, preferring the blue glow of their smartphone screens and the taste of Tide pods to a throbbing motor and a smile full of bugs. Such is life. Has some of the Vrod look, I think.
saddlebum Posted February 6, 2018 #2 Posted February 6, 2018 Ditto that. I don't think most of them have even so much as climbed a real tree. Oh how I miss the simpler way of life.
MiCarl Posted February 6, 2018 #3 Posted February 6, 2018 A lot of young people aren't interested in a driver's license of any kind. The world is a changin'.
saddlebum Posted February 15, 2018 #4 Posted February 15, 2018 Could be that the virtual motorcycle is slowly replacing the real one. whens the last time you saw, kids in a tree, kids playing sstreet hocky, kids tramping through the forest on imaaginary african adventures, or building forts. Not to mention ratio between wage earnings and the cost of a new motorcycle plus, The redicules cost of insurance. Add to this the rising cost of living in general. Then too comes in the screwball drivers on the road that riders have to watch out for.
