Hello, I am new to this forum and I have actually posted this on another Venture themed forum, but I am looking for all the ideas I can get. I have an 83 Venture that is in bad need of help cosmetically. Mechanically the bike is sound and runs great, aside from the need for a spring tune up of course. But because of the cosmetic condition I have been considering what to do with the bike. That was until my friend sent me this picture of a 78 Goldwing. I was curious to know if any of you have seen anything like this done with a 1st Gen Venture. I would love any input you all may have and maybe even som pics of a stripped down venture. I would love to get as much info as I can get before I begin. anyway here is the pic.

That is actually a nice looking wing! I think someone was turning one in a rat bike type chopper on here but never saw it completed. They were trying to get help with a airbox conversion or eliminating the airbox for four little air filters.

Got a few shots of my '84 while I was going through it after I bought it. About as naked as it gets and still ridable. Looks better with all the tupperware back on. You could probaby lose 150 to 200 pound off this critter with a decent bobjob.

My thoughts when I tore mine down, was to make some aluminum skin, sorta like the RR's or R1 & 6's. That way you don't have to change the airbox or anything. There's enuff frame there to make mounts or threaded posts to attach it to. I think it would look cool!!!!
