I know that there are multiple cancer survivors on this site, what if we combine into a help group/prayer group. I began my cancer lessons in 1983 with T cell lymphoma. They took my spleen and went on chemo/radiation for two years. 2007 they told me melanoma, more radiation, 2010 another melanoma. Just a week past I now have Polycy Themia Vera, a blood cancer where I make too many red cells.

I am not afraid to talk about it. So let's do talk about it.

Sylv I know first hand of what you speak. I also had Cancer in 2010 in the left side of my neck and two spots in front of my left ear. The first Doc that I went to said it was an infection and gave me antibiotics. It got bigger with in a few days so I went to another Doc that was an ear, nose and throat specialist. He did four biopsies before any medication because he was concerned about Cancer but also told me that he would have to remove the lumps. After the biopsies came back negative he did a PET scan and found the cancer in all the lumps and on the left tonsil. Two operations and radiation and chemo treatments were done and I am Cancer free of it for 7 years.

Little setback this week, ended up with blood clot in lower left leg, went up thru heart and ended up in lung. Hard to believe how bad one of those can make you feel. After 2 days in hospital, back home now with more pills? Feeling pretty good, just very tired. Went for 2nd opinion at UPenn, DR there agreed with all my current Dr is doing so we felt pretty good about that.

I just appreciate all the kind words and prayers, dont really need any other help rite now, but Thank You for the offer.

Are you now on warfarin? Had two pulmonary embolisms and on warfarin/Xaralto for life. Probably a precursor to the polycythemia vera. Keep us posted and the prayers continue.
