SilvrT Posted January 21, 2018 #26 Posted January 21, 2018 Probably right around 8000 lbs on flat,up hill never missed a lick.I see your in the market for a truck ,rent 1 of the new f 150's with the eco -boost for a day hook it to a trailer and pull it all over gods creation. Though i can not speak for the new f 150's i think you will find the eco-boost will pull what you want easily. Actually no, I'm not in the market. We currently have a 2016 RAM 3500 diesel and we pull a 12,000 # 5th wheel RV. Before that we had a 2003 F350 with the V10 in it. Specs on that engine was 310 HP & 425 Tq and it didn't do well at all pulling our 5th wheel up hills. Start at the bottom of a long 5 or 6 % grade and speed would drop by appx 20 mph at the crest all the while the engine is working pretty hard. The RAM on the other hand could crest the same hill 20 mph faster with ease.
