cowpuc Posted January 11, 2018 #1 Posted January 11, 2018 Ok,,, I have BUT never for a Venture!!! https://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-XVZ-1200-VENTURE-FRONT-Center-Stand-1983/152779382544?hash=item23925c5f10:g:X9UAAOSwFyhaAyi6&vxp=mtr
Marcarl Posted January 12, 2018 #3 Posted January 12, 2018 Interesting that it is a front center stand, thought it might be more effective if it was a center center stand. Guess the front is in need of better support lately,, things do change,, I just learned the other day that corsets are no longer used,,who would have thought????? but hey, it's my life and I have to live it.
Flyinfool Posted January 12, 2018 #4 Posted January 12, 2018 I am not sure why you would want or need such a thing. It may make front wheel removal on the side of the road a bit easier. It also looks like it would eliminate a couple of inches of ground clearance for going into and out of steep driveway ramps or in @cowpuc case reduced 2 trackin clearance.
BigLenny Posted January 12, 2018 #5 Posted January 12, 2018 Thanks Pucter. I clicked on that link and wound up farting away an hour on Ebay looking at random Venture and RSTD stuff. Big Lenny
Sylvester Posted January 12, 2018 #6 Posted January 12, 2018 I like it but I need two of them. Do they have that many?
Pegasus1300 Posted January 13, 2018 #7 Posted January 13, 2018 They are front ride off stands and were originally designed for BMWs back in the 60's. They were made and sold by Reynolds Accessories, the BMW dealer in Salt Lake city until sometime in the 80's. When the Goldwings got big they began the stands for them and then the Ventures. They are really well made and Reynolds had a terrific reputation back in the day. Had their own machine shop and everything.

Things like this bugs me until I find the rest of the story.
