Chaharly Posted December 21, 2017 #1 Posted December 21, 2017 Anyone have any of these to get rid of? Vanity Mirror for 88 Right side panel Vent Antanna for a Venture Royale The grommet for the faux tank cover
Flyinfool Posted December 21, 2017 #2 Posted December 21, 2017 The Faux tank grommet is really hard to find. I split a piece of vacuum line lengthwise and glued that around the opening in the frame and it has worked perfect for the last 50K miles. Which antenna for the royal, CB or radio?
Karaboo Posted December 21, 2017 #3 Posted December 21, 2017 I have an antenna, but it is missing the top (CB) mast. It still works for radio reception.
videoarizona Posted December 21, 2017 #4 Posted December 21, 2017 For the grommet...try Ace. They just may have something that will work. Look in the O ring/grommet area....drawers full of goodies. Antenna. If I read your post right, it's a single antenna with a splitter by the CB unit in the right fairing. Go with a 3rd party antenna. Better quality, reception and can bolt right on. I went with the Firestick...I called them first.
Karaboo Posted December 22, 2017 #5 Posted December 22, 2017 This is what I got to replace mine. Direct bolt on, almost identical to OEM. https://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=AO-GL12-ANT It still folds like the original, too.

I split a piece of vacuum line lengthwise and glued that around the opening in the frame and it has worked perfect for the last 50K miles. There are two grommets for the tank cover. A slot one at the front and then a round one for the bolt at the back. I got the rear one from a Yamaha dealer a couple of years ago so they might still be available. Don't know about the front one though.

All in one right? Good thinking on that homemade grommet idea! I think I might have to do that
Chaharly Posted December 24, 2017 Author #8 Posted December 24, 2017 I have an antenna, but it is missing the top (CB) mast. It still works for radio reception. That's the same problem that I have!
